This EPA-approved five-day class is intended for supervisory personnel who direct asbestos abatement projects. The curriculum meets EPA/AHERA requirements as well as the National Emissions Standard for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAPS) and OSHA 29 CFR 1926.1101/1910.1001. Lead based paint Training for Renovators & Remodelers course Initial (8 hr.)
Nationally certified EPA approved training course for all contractors who may disturb lead based paint in homes, child care facilities and schools built prior to 1978. Course content includes all topics required for EPA certification of training. Course also includes EPA approved clearance testing materials. This course does not substitute for the EPA worker course for lead based paint abatement. Minimum of 1 year experience as a certified lead based paint abatement worker or 2 years experience in a related field (e.g., lead, asbestos, or environmental remediation work) or in the building trades is required. 4 Hour refresher training required every 3 years to maintain accreditation. |

Lead based paint Training for Renovators & Remodelers course Refresher
(4 hr.)
This course is required ever 3 years to maintain accreditation as a lead based paint Renovator or Remodeler. Topics include regulatory changes, new tools and techniques and a review of the initial training topics. Those persons previously trained and certified in the following courses need only take to refresher training to become accredited as a Renovator or Supervisor: Abatement worker or supervisor course accredited by EPA, or an EPA authorized State or Tribal program.
