Brad Peebles, PhD, CEP, Joins SCS
in Florida, Opens Palm Beach Office

Tampa, FL - SCS Engineers (SCS) is pleased to announce that J. Bradbury “Brad” Peebles, PhD, CEP, has joined the company as a Project Director in the firm’s environmental services practice in Florida where he will provide leadership on environmental projects for industrial and government clients throughout the Southeast and nationally.

Dr. Peebles specializes in the design and implementation of risk-based corrective actions (RBCA) for industrial contamination problems under a variety of regulatory programs.  Through the application of RBCA, he has helped commercial and industrial clients to save millions of dollars in remediation costs. He is often asked by clients to serve as an advocate during the promulgation of environmental regulations and he has been active in the development of Florida’s “global RBCA” regulations.

SCS Vice President and Florida Office Director, Ray Dever, noted, “Brad is one of the most highly respected environmental consultants in Florida, and we are delighted that he has joined SCS.  He will bring exceptional experience and technical expertise to a number of our firm’s key practice areas, such as brownfields redevelopment.” 

Dr. Peebles earned his BS in Biology from Jacksonville University, an MS in Biology from Florida State University, and a PhD in Zoology from the University of Hawaii. In addition, he is a Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) and has served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Environmental Professionals (NAEP).

Dr. Peebles will manage the Palm Beach County office.  This newly established office will enable SCS to better serve the growing number of both solid waste and environmental consulting clients in this part of Florida.
