FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE June 19, 2009 Contact: John J. Kendall, PE, Joins SCS Engineers’ New Denver, Colorado, Office Denver, CO - SCS Engineers (SCS) is pleased to announce that John J. Kendall, P.E., has joined the firm’s new Denver, Colorado, office, where he will lead environmental projects for government and private clients. Mr. Kendall is a Mining/Environmental Engineer with technical, business management and international experience in solid waste design and permitting, surface water design, mine tailings remediation, and a wide variety of environmental and compliance related projects. Mr. Kendall’s experience of over 20 years includes project engineering and project management for consulting engineering firms and private sector companies. He started and successfully ran his own engineering company for five years, specializing in landfill design, construction quality assurance, and permitting. He subsequently worked as an environmental manager for two national waste collection and disposal firms, developing several landfill expansions and complex cover and gas collection systems. His project activities have included landfill design and permitting, construction sequence optimization, leachate system design, geosynthetic liner design, environmental remediation, and forensic evaluations for landfill liners and covers, surface water design as well as providing construction quality assurance and certification services. Mr. Kendall earned a BS in Mining Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the states of Colorado, Kansas, Arizona, and South Carolina. Mr. Kendall’s professional affiliations include the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA).
