John Picone Joins SCS Engineers as
Corporate Communications Manager

Long Beach, CA - SCS Engineers (SCS) is pleased to announce that John Picone has joined the company as Corporate Communications Manager.  In his new position, Mr. Picone will join forces with every SCS office to sustain and expand upon the company’s extensive and multi-faceted communications endeavors.  In addition, Mr. Picone is charged with increasing the frequency and effectiveness of SCS’ communications with clients and collaborators.

His broad range of marketing and communications efforts will include: creating communications programs that effectively describe and promote SCS including: the preparation and dissemination of periodic news and press releases, public relations interaction with the media, management of SCS’ trade show exhibit program, oversight of the SCS website, and the development and refinement of style and policy guidelines to reflect a consistent and uniform company image.

Mr. Picone brings to SCS 22 years of communications, production, and management experience.  Most recently, he served nearly two years in marketing communications for Leo A Daly, an architectural, engineering, design and planning firm with offices around the world.  There, he was responsible for researching and developing marketing opportunities and preparing proposals. Other prior experience includes six years as a Multimedia Communications Manager for Peck/Jones Construction Corporation, six years as a Communications Manager for Yamaha Motor Corporation and one year as the Manager of a graphic arts design studio.

Mr. Picone earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Southern California.  Subsequently, he earned a Master of Arts in Instructional Media from California State University at Los Angeles.
