SCS Engineers Welcomes Kevin E. Hodges, P.E., to its new Arkansas Office

Lowell, Arkansas - SCS Engineers (SCS) is pleased to announce the addition of Kevin Hodges, P.E., to its newly created Northwest Arkansas office. He will be directing projects in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma.

Mr. Hodges has a diversified background in environmental engineering, civil design, land development, acquisitions and mitigation banking. His environmental engineering experience includes employment with private and public solid waste management organizations in the Midwest where he was responsible for environmental compliance, regulatory interaction, site investigations, site feasibilities, facility design, permitting, construction, and management. In addition, he was a partner in a general civil engineering firm that specialized in residential and commercial development, large scale developments, grading and drainage plans, utility design, foundations and retaining walls, and general civil work.

Mr. Hodges also was an acquisition and master planning manager for a large development company in the southeast U.S. He was responsible for real estate acquisition; financial feasibility preparation; contract negotiations; detailed due diligence; local, state and Federal agency coordination; permitting; rezoning; platting; mitigation; property purchase; easements; budgets; construction management; and environmental compliance.

Mr. Hodges has managed acquisitions in the southeast US for a mitigation banking company. He initiated a nationwide marketing research project to identify priority watersheds; lead pro forma analysis of sites to determine project feasibility; negotiated purchase and sale agreements; managed due diligence efforts; managed contracts; and assembled required documentation.

Mr. Hodges earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Arkansas, and he is a registered professional engineer in that state.
