Dr. Paul Damian Joins SCS Engineers as the California Risk Assessment Practice Leader and National Partner for Risk Assessment

Sacramento, CA — SCS Engineers (SCS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Paul Damian as its California Risk Assessment Practice Leader and National Partner for Risk Assessment.  Dr. Damian will be working out of the company’s Sacramento office supporting the health and ecological risk assessment practice in California and nationally.

 Dr. Damian is a board certified toxicologist with 20 years of experience assessing the health and ecological impacts of chemical contamination in the environment and workplace.  His project experience includes clean up of brownfields; military and mine sites; chemical product safety assessment; Proposition 65 compliance; and assessment of risks due to chemical vapor intrusion. 

 Dr. Damian holds a Ph.D. in Toxicology and Pharmacology from the University of California at Davis, a Master of Public Health in Environmental Health from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources from the University of Michigan. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology.

Dr. Damian’s professional affiliations include the Society of Toxicology, the American College of Toxicology, the International Society of Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology, the Roundtable of Toxicology Consultants, the Society for Risk Analysis, and the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry.
