FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE February 8, 2005 Contact: Richard R. Karpinski Joins Charlotte, NC - SCS Engineers is pleased to announce that Richard R. Karpinski has recently joined the company as a Project Manager with the Environmental Services Division in SCS’ Charlotte, North Carolina office.
Mr. Karpinski brings to the position more than 12 years of experience with emphasis on environmental due diligence, site characterization, remedial design and implementation, and environmental management/compliance issues.
Mr. Karpinski has performed and managed over one hundred environmental site assessment (ESA) projects at industrial, commercial, residential, agricultural, and government installations nationwide. He has provided project management and consulting for the closure of hundreds of aboveground and underground storage tank systems at residential, commercial, and industrial facilities in the Mid-South Atlantic area. He has designed, prepared cost estimates and bid documents, supervised, installed and operated various remediation systems at retail gasoline facilities, bulk fuel storage terminals, refineries and industrial facilities. Mr. Karpinski’s regulation compliance/permitting experience includes RCRA Subtitles C and D, NPDES (wastewater and storm water), industrial pre-treatment (wastewater), air emissions including Title V, groundwater extraction, and groundwater injection.
Mr. Karpinski holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with an emphasis on Chemistry and Physics from Stockton College of New Jersey. His certification include: OSHA HazMat Site Worker and Site Supervisor, AHERA Asbestos Building Inspector and Management Planner, Professional Liability Certification for Contract Review and Revision Groundwater Resource Management.
