The Twentieth Annual Arizona Solid Waste Management Seminar will be held March 23-26, 2010 in conjunction with the SWANA training
opportunities listed below.

Participants will include representatives from public and private entities including state and local regulatory agencies.

This seminar is an excellent opportunity to fulfill training requirements, stay up to date with technical and regulatory issues, and network with your regulators, industry colleagues, and vendors. Cost to attend the Tuesday event is $25 for Arizona SWANA members, $35 for out-of-state members and $50 for non-members.

TECHNICAL PRESENTATIONS

 

Tuesday, March 23, 8a.m. to 5 p.m.

Topics will include collections, landfills, facilities and equipment, recycling, public education, air and water quality, and regulatory issues.  If you are interested in submitting an abstract please submit by February 22, 2010 to mbojorquez@scsengineers.com.

 

SWANA TRAINING
Wednesday, March 24, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Depending on the level of interest, SWANA will be offering the following training courses:

Municipal Solid Waste Collections Training
Course fee: $315 to attend; $100 to take the Certification exam. $150 if taking exam only. (3 days)

Waste Screening at MSWM Facilities

Course fee: $100 SWANA members; $150 non-members

(1 day)

 

Health and Safety for Material Recycling Facility (MRF) Personnel

Course fee: $100 SWANA members; $150 non-members

(1 day)

 

Health and Safety for MSW Landfill Personnel

Course fee: $100 SWANA members; $150 non-members

(1 day)

 

MOLO Certification Exam: $150 for members
Mechanics Curbtender training: $125

 

SWANA will credit Continuing Education Units (CEU)
for seminar and training course participants.
