Ms. Pincus was the Chairperson for the City of
Albuquerque’s Design Review Committee (DRC). She reviewed public and private
development design plans relative to proposed City infrastructure. She
prepared financial guarantees, review engineer’s cost estimates, and
calculate various fees. Ms. Pincus also coordinated various City
departments’ reviews of proposed infrastructure.

Project Manager for various landfill remediation and
civil projects. Project Engineer/Manager for the first landfill gas
extraction system in New Mexico. Project Engineer/Manager for the first
landfill gas to energy project in New Mexico. Assisted with the design of
the Cerro Colorado landfill gas extraction system and alternative liner for
its new cell. Coordinated with New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) –
Solid Waste Bureau and the City’s Air Quality Division on various landfill
issues. Project Manager for the investigation and remediation of landfill
gas at former city landfills. Evaluated various landfill gas to energy
options for several City landfills. Designed, prepared, and reviewed plans
and specifications for remediation work at former landfills. Oversight of
developments within the designated buffer zones of landfills. Duties
associated with development projects were: review technical reports and
mitigation design plans and specifications; coordinated with Planning
Department as needed for development to proceed; and provided technical
input for mitigation measures for landfill gas. Technical lead for the Fruit
Avenue Superfund Site. Duties associated with this task were: review of
technical reports and remediation design plans; coordinated city
departments, EPA, and NMED Superfund Oversight Section as needed; and
provided technical input concerning remediation of the groundwater plume.

Lead Project Manager for environmental projects.
Designed and reviewed plans and specifications for the remediation of
underground storage tanks for soil and groundwater cleanup, and other
environmental projects. Supervised other project staff geologists,
hydrologists, and engineers. Provided training, and peer review of their
projects. Responsible for the preparation and review of environmental site
assessments. Additional duties included groundwater sampling, analysis of
laboratory data to determine degree of contamination at a site; soil
sampling; inspection/supervision of drilling activities; and marketing of
environmental department (preparation of proposals, cost estimates,
statement of qualifications, RFPs, and client service).

Responsible for geotechnical investigations and design
of foundations for residential and commercial projects. These projects
included: subdivisions, bridges, multi-story structures, military
structures, and damage investigations. Responsible for site subsurface
investigations, geologic mapping, and report preparation. Assisted with
landfill closure reports. Provided client service as needed.

Conducted geologic investigation for seismic study at
Folsom Dam in California. Conducted geologic mapping of the areas’ faults
and local geology. Coordinated other subcontractors to perform various tasks
related to the study.

Investigated, reviewed, mapped, logged, prepared
investigation and feasibility reports/plans for dams and other types of
flood control structures. Conducted dam safety inspections, inspected dam
foundations for placement of earthen materials, prepared seismic studies for
flood control structures, and conducted geologic investigations for seismic
study. Performed various geotechnical soil tests for various civil
structures at the Division Laboratory. Classified soils under the Unified
Soil Classification System. Member of contract administration and
negotiation team for Design Branch.
