Hitachi Consulting Corporation Partners with SCS Engineers to Support National Park Service

November 10, 2014

MADISON, Wisc. – SCS Engineers was selected to support Hitachi Consulting Corporation (Hitachi Consulting) in providing technical and environmental assistance to the National Park Service (NPS) over the next five years.

The NPS is tasked with stewardship of America’s treasured landscapes and protecting them for posterity. Budget reductions, along with a stronger environmental ethic established by the Department of the Interior and Environmental Protection Agency, challenge the NPS to expand existing programs and resources while implementing them in new and innovative ways. The Hitachi Consulting team will help the NPS design and employ the appropriate processes, systems, and people in order to achieve sustainable environmental solutions with measureable results.

“We are honored and excited to be part of an environmental consulting team protecting and sustaining our nation’s lands and culture for the National Park Service,” stated SCS Vice President John Tweddale, PG, CHMM. “Evaluating compliance, managing solid waste, and providing creative technical solutions is our core business; it couldn’t be a better fit.”
