Pete Carrico

Mr. Carrico is a Senior Vice President with over 35 years of experience with SCS Field Services (a division of SCS Engineers) in the operation, maintenance, and monitoring (OM&M) of landfill gas (LFG) management systems. This experience has ranged from hands-on, technical fieldwork to management of field teams performing routine and non-routine LFG system operations and maintenance. Mr. Carrico has written and prepared site-specific O&M manuals, site assessment and investigation reports, and routine project status reports. Mr. Carrico is also the Assistant Director of our OM&M Division.
As the Assistant Office Director for SCS Field Services’ Operation, Monitoring and Maintenance Business Unit, Mr. Carrico provides leadership and management of the Business Unit’s Eastern United States operations, including some 100 employees working on over 250 projects. These projects represent a variety of different LFG control and recovery systems for both regulatory compliance and energy use, including vertical and horizontal gas extraction, air injection, open and enclosed flaring systems, electronic gas detection systems, and remote LFG data collection. Mr. Carrico’s experience provides SCS-FS with a practical, hands-on management capability for a wide range of projects.
His past projects include the Medley Landfill in Medley, FL; the Old Dominion and King and Queen Landfills near Richmond, VA; the East Carolina Landfill in Aulander, NC; the Prince William County Landfill near Manassas, VA; the Medina Landfill in Lawrenceville, VA; and the Stafford County Landfill in Stafford, VA. These projects represent a variety of different LFG control and recovery systems for both regulatory compliance and energy use, including vertical and horizontal gas extraction, air injection, open and enclosed flaring systems, electronic gas detection systems, and remote LFG data collection. Mr. Carrico’s experience provides SCS-FS with a practical, hands-on management capability for a wide range of projects.
Concurrent with project management responsibilities, Mr. Carrico helped develop SCSeTools® for compiling, reporting, and using collected data for operations and investment. Other relevant experience has included conducting LFG training seminars for employees and clients, and participation as an instructor and presenter in LFG industry seminars and symposiums.
