Clean Air Act – Southern California Gas Co. (Sempra Energy), Valencia, California

SCS Engineers clean air act projectsSCS Engineers prepared the Annual Emission Report for this facility with as-needed AB-2588 Air Toxics Emission Inventory updates for submittal to the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD). Project work included collecting data, reviewing material safety data sheets, calculating emissions of criteria pollutants (CO, NOx, etc.) as well as hazardous air pollutants (HAPs), and preparing all documentation in accordance with SCAQMD guidelines. SCS also prepared the SCAQMD permit application for two portable carbon canisters. Project work included preparing a process flow diagram and all required submittal forms.

SCS also prepared Title V permit applications for five RECLAIM facilities and one Title V permit exclusion request. Services included conducting site surveys, completing emission inventories, performing a regulatory review/audit, developing permitting strategies (to limit regulatory exposure and to maximize operational flexibility) and preparing all required documentation for submittal to the SCAQMD. We prepared Rule 301 Emission Fee Packages for eleven facilities in the SCAQMD. Project work included data collection, performing engineering calculations of NOx, SOx, CO, VOC, and PM10 emissions, then completing all documentation according to SCAQMD guidelines.

SCS Engineers prepared Annual Emission Fee Packages (pursuant to SCAQMD Rule 301) for six RECLAIM facilities. Project work included data collection performing engineering calculations of NOx, SOx, CO, VOC, and PM10 emissions, and completing all documentation according to SCAQMD guidelines.
