Health and Safety

National Expert: Gary Pons

Attention to health and safety (H&S) is critical for all businesses and projects. At SCS Engineers, we strive always to perform our work in a professional manner with constant attention to our health and safety performance. The safety of our employees – along with safeguarding the general public and our clients’ property – is our greatest responsibility. Safety is an integral part of how we do business, and we have adopted a comprehensive plan to carry out that philosophy.  It is our goal to eliminate unsafe practices and conditions and to have zero accidents and injuries.

Successful implementation of our Health & Safety Program is based on compliance, safety communication, hazard assessment, and control. Our approach emphasizes continual improvement through assessment and planning, training, improving health and safety practices, and reviewing our companywide performance to identify where improvement is needed. Having a designated party for program oversight enables us to effectively maintain and improve our Health & Safety Program. Our Corporate Health & Safety Director (CHSD) is responsible for the overall technical direction, management, and implementation of SCS’s Health & Safety Program.

Using this framework, SCS Engineers can help you obtain the same benefits we have gained from our formal H&S program. We help clients develop and sustain effective – and evolving – health and safety programs. Specifically, SCS offers the following services to help our clients with their health and program needs:
