Register today for “Restarting Downtown Los Angeles” a webinar on June 4 that will explore what’s next as construction continues, employers return to work, and businesses begin to reopen. SCS Engineers is a co-sponsor of the event.
WEBINAR SUMMARY
WHY THIS MATTERS
Since AEG opened Staples Center in 1999, few pockets of Southern California have had as transformative a change as Downtown Los Angeles. According to the Downtown Center BID, since 1999 $30B has been invested in new construction, 37,000 new units have been built, and 2,500 are currently under construction.
Downtown Los Angeles is, in many ways, the economic, cultural and geographic center of the city and its prominence (and skyline) has only continued to grow. First with the expansion of highrises in South Park, then the opening of the Wilshire Grand, and now the construction of The Grand.
As LA’s neighborhoods and communities pick themselves up and dust themselves off from the pandemic’s impact on their lives, all eyes will be on major hubs of commerce and culture, looking at when, and how, they attempt to resume life as we once knew it.
Hear from Related’s Rick Vogel, Mack Real Estate Development’s Paul Keller, and the DTLA BID’s Suzanne Holley as they discuss these topics and much more.
