We are currently seeking a Senior Marketing Coordinator to join our compact, energetic marketing team supporting SCS Engineers Southwest Region. The individual will develop and implement detailed marketing projects in close collaboration with management, technical personnel, and/or graphic designers to support Business Unit marketing activities. The Senior Marketing Coordinator will also support the marketing team with marketing project development, collection and input of marketing and sales data, and reporting. This position will be hybrid in our Long Beach Headquarters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Marketing Manager to develop and implement a pursuit and/or marketing strategy, and compliance documents, to produce winning proposals and presentations.
  • Participate in client analysis and go/no go decisions.
  • Guide pursuit teams and mentor proposal support staff through the pursuit and positioning process.
  • Produce client-focused qualification statements of qualifications, proposals, presentations, and other marketing materials.
  • Work with project teams to develop benefit-driven proposal sections and scopes of work.
  • Facilitate strategy discussions to identify project drivers, key success factors and approach to competition.
  • Demonstrate ability to write and communicate in a clear and compelling manner, with a strong command of English grammar and editing, as well as attention to detail.
  • Lead client interview process by designing the approach, coaching technical staff and planning the use of space, visuals, and transitions for in-person or virtual situations.
  • Assist in the development and execution of assigned marketing and business development strategies for key clients.
  • Participate and/or lead discussion, planning, and activities for key client plans, which may involve strategic planning, client and competitor analysis, and business development activities such as client meetings, conferences, thought leadership.
  • Participate in developing win plans for key pursuits and driving the strategic process with actions plans.
  • Support lead tracking and maintenance of leads database.
  • Execute various PR activities, including writing press releases, organizing special events and/or conferences, developing and writing submissions to engineering award competitions,
  • Support collection and input efforts of marketing and sales data into computerized company tracking system on a regular basis. Compile and analyze data and accurately report impact and outcomes of marketing activities.
  • Maintain updated data in company systems, including pursuit status, photography, resumes, and project descriptions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or Marketing required.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years professional marketing experience required. Engineering, Architectural, or Construction firm business development or marketing experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional writing experience required. Engineering, Architectural, or Construction firm business development or marketing experience preferred.
  • CPSM Certification and/or certification in process, would be beneficial.
  • Valid drivers license with a driving record in good standing required.
