Staff Stormwater Engineer - Environmental or Civil

What we are looking for

SCS Engineers is looking for a Staff Level Civil or Environmental Engineer with experience in stormwater design, modeling, and permitting to help grow our practice in Florida. You will provide engineering/design/construction support to the team within our engineering program for both private and municipal clients. You will be part of an expanding group that supports projects in Florida and throughout the southeast.

How you can make an impact

You will design solutions to complex stormwater management problems:

• Perform ICPR and HydroCAD modeling for environmental and civil-site developments to contain and treat stormwater.
• Prepare paving/grading/drainage plans.
• Prepare ERP applications and stormwater design reports.
• Landfill permitting and design, including construction plans, specifications and construction documents.
• Prepare solid waste facility and environmental control system infrastructure permit applications and regulatory agency submittals and develop responses with supporting documentation.
• Complete quality control reviews on all work products (reports, design plans, design calculations, data) before submission.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and clients.
• Coordinate with CAD drafters for design plans/figures or use AutoCAD for basic design plans/ figures.
• Prepare permit applications and regulatory agency submittals and responses with supporting documentation.
• Prepare calculations for reports and to support design documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelors of Science degree in Civil, Environmental, or Geotechnical Engineering or related major required.
• 4 years professional experience in stormwater design, modeling, and ERP permitting required.
• Working knowledge of FDEP regulations, ERP Manuals for Florida Water Management Districts, FDOT drainage manuals, DERM code of ordinances, and Florida Administrative Code for stormwater
• AutoCAD experience is required.
• ICPR experience is required.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) required.
• Civil3D experience is preferred.
• MODRET/PONDS/HydroCAD experience is preferred.
• Valid Drivers License with a driving record in good standing required.

Pay range for this position is $75k to $90k depending on experience and location. This does not include bonuses or our Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
