Edward De Souza

As a graduate of the Earth and Environmental Space Sciences department at the University of Washington, Mr. de Souza has worked to develop sustainable and cost-effective solutions to challenges involving drinking water, sewers, and water reclamation in industry and the urban environment. He has been involved with various projects that include collection of groundwater and soil samples for analysis, Phase I and Phase II investigations, stormwater assessment and remediation, pollution prevention and control, business surveys, and public education and outreach. He utilizes complex databases and mapping programs (Microsoft Access, ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, gINT) to analyze geologic conditions, groundwater quality, and other technical aspects of these projects. He has studied and assisted in environmental planning, and has volunteered with various organizations, such as Heal The Bay and the Pediatric Therapy Network, to promote public and environmental health.
