Gene Dumas

Mr. Dumas is a Project Manager of the Risk Management group at SCS. His primary responsibility is to assist facilities that use anhydrous ammonia in addressing EPA’s Risk Management Program (RMP) and OSHA’s Process Safety Management (PSM). Those duties include: Facilitating onsite Process Hazard Analysis studies; Process Safety Management auditing; and Risk Management studies.
Prior to joining the SCS Tracer Environmental team, Mr. Dumas, was employed as the Maintenance Engineer for Hunter Farms Dairy from 1997-2015. He began his career in 1977 as an Electricians Mate in the US Navy. He has also worked as a maintenance electrician in the plywood and solid rocket fuel industries. Mr. Dumas has three decades of refrigeration experience including over 20 years of ammonia experience in the poultry, fish, and dairy processing industries. He has been involved with PSM/RMP from implementation to law.
