Mr. Olness has three decades of experience in the environmental industry. He has extensive experience in petroleum remediation, surface and subsurface contamination investigation, and Phase I and Phase II environmental site investigations (ESAs). Mr. Olness also has experience with public water supply well installation and groundwater modeling.
Mr. Olness’ modeling experience includes the construction of a finite difference computer model of the Spokane Aquifer using Modflow as the basis of his thesis. In addition, he utilized an analytical element model (MLAEM) to develop a wellhead protection plan for the City of Little Falls, Minnesota. Mr. Olness also has experience with hydrologic studies for the placement of new municipal wells for several communities in northern Minnesota, including completing the specifications for the installation and testing of the wells.
