Long Beach, CA – The California Climate Action Registry (CCAR) has named SCS Engineers (SCS) a Climate Action Leader. This distinction is awarded to CCAR members that have voluntarily compiled, verified and publicly reported their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

CCAR commended SCS for its participation in the nation’s most rigorous voluntary GHGreporting program. CCAR reviewed SCS’s third-party verified 2007 & 2008 GHGemissions inventory and found it meets the standards of its General Reporting Protocol. SCS’s emissions report is now available to the public at .

“As environmental consultants and contractors, we are keenly aware of the impact of GHG emissions on the climate,” said Pat Sullivan, SCS’s Senior Vice President. “We want to do our part to track, and ultimately reduce GHG emissions. This is one small step toward that goal. As an accredited verifier ourselves, we must be willing to ‘walk the walk’ when it comes to reporting our GHG emissions.”
