Dana Justice is a Brownfields funding specialist with nearly a decade of experience in environmental consulting. As one of SCS Engineers’ National Experts for Brownfields Grants, she has successfully secured over $16 million in state and federal funding, including EPA Brownfields Assessment, Cleanup, and Multipurpose (MARC) Grants, for public sector and nonprofit clients. Dana specializes in identifying funding opportunities, grant writing, and grant administration, helping communities secure resources for Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), remediation planning, and brownfield site redevelopment. She also has expertise in community engagement, public outreach, and compliance with grant requirements and grant reporting. With a deep understanding of brownfield revitalization, Dana helps municipalities and developers leverage federal and state funding to transform underutilized properties, advance sustainable redevelopment, and support economic growth through environmental remediation and land reuse strategies.

Jeffrey J. Grill is the Business Unit Director of our SCS Energy division, a Vice President of SCS Engineers, and our National Expert on Landfill Gas and Biogas to Energy. His expertise includes designing, constructing, operating, and maintaining biogas to Renewable Natural Gas & energy facilities, including Landfill Gas-to-Energy facilities, biogas treatment facilities, and power plants. He has over 2 decades of experience in energy and renewable natural gas (RNG) project development, engineering, and management. His core values are quality, consistency, and engineering excellence.

    • Jeffrey J. Grill is the Business Unit Director of our SCS Energy division, a Vice President of SCS Engineers, and our National Expert on Landfill Gas and Biogas to Energy. His expertise includes designing, constructing, operating, and maintaining biogas to Renewable Natural Gas & energy facilities, including Landfill Gas-to-Energy facilities, biogas treatment facilities, and power plants.       Before becoming the Business Unit Director, Jeffrey led the Energy group’s process engineering division, which is responsible for the design of all SCS’s RNG facilities. He provides a wide array of engineering and management services ranging from conceptual to detailed design and implementation. Jeffrey has built an execution portfolio of 19 patents and applications. He has designed over 50 Renewable Natural Gas processing plants with a combined designed production capacity equivalent to 16% of California’s 2021 residential natural gas consumption. This is equivalent to almost one and a half percent of the US residential natural gas consumption, equating to a reduction of over 4.1 million tons of CO2 GHG emissions or 2.1 million tons of coal burned annually. The capacity of the landfill gas to pipeline quality RNG projects that Jeffrey has supervised or designed totals over 335 MMCFD for landfill gas to RNG, and over 34 MMCFD for dairy digester and municipal WWTP gas to RNG.

Justin Stevenson is one of our National Experts on Landfill Gas Control. He has designed numerous landfill gas (LFG) collection and control systems, including blower/flare stations, gas compression and dehydration systems, LFG treatment systems for hydrogen sulfide and siloxane removal, and gas collection and control system expansions. Mr. Stevenson has performed construction oversight and start-up on many LFG-related construction projects. His work has included detailed analysis of landfill gas monitoring data and liquid level monitoring data for work on elevated temperature landfills. Mr. Stevenson has a BSE in Mechanical Engineering.
