The Refrigerating Engineers & Technicians Association (RETA), will host its 2019 National Conference at the RIO All Suites Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, October 6-11, 2019.

Several SCS professionals are presenting papers, conducting training workshops, and are otherwise involved with the conference, including:
Eric Girven, RETA Chairman of the Board, will preside over the incoming board nominations and swearing in on Oct 10, and he will present a Workshop on Strainer Cleaning
Juan Parra will teach the IIAR Standard 6 Inspection forms Workshop
Bill Lape will conduct a Management of Change (MOC) Workshop. After reviewing the basic principles, participants will take part in a full MOC exercise, starting with project planning, continuing to review safety and health issues and hazard identification, creation/review of operating procedures, and finishing up with a pre-startup safety review. Bill is also teaching a PHD workshop on Oct 8.
Gene Dumas is teaching a RETA review course on Oct 6 & 7. He is also presenting a paper titled “Basic Electricity for Refrigeration Technicians.” Gene is also the RETA Awards Committee Chairman and will present at the Awards Banquet on Oct 10

The 2019 RETA National Conference is 4 days filled with hands-on training, workshops, technical presentations, networking events, and an expansive exhibit hall. The all-encompassing program is designed for professionals, students, and experts working within the refrigeration industry. CIRO, CARO, and CRST certification courses also will be offered.
