Erin Abel, RG, is hydrogeologist experienced in field work and data analysis. She conducts Phase I and Phase II investigations and remediation and environmental compliance services, prepares Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plans, and is a risk assessor for Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) case closure. Additional experience includes mine reclamation plans, mine inspections, and industrial wastewater monitoring. Erin has a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and a strong technical background in state and Federal regulations including the Safe Water Drinking Act (SDWA), Clean Air Act (CAA), Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Clean Water Act (CWA), and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).

AJ Adams has nearly three decades of experience in environmental due diligence and compliance project and personnel management, with a strong emphasis on environmental site assessments for complex real estate transactions and quality assurance/quality control. Ms. Aguirre works with various permitting mechanisms, including New Source Review (NSR) permits, permits-by-rule (PBR), and standard permits. She prepares various engineering plans, calculations, surveys, and air compliance and permitting applications and is experienced with Civil3D software to assist in CAD design.
Ms. Aguirre is responsible for assisting with preparation of various engineering plans, calculations, surveys, and air compliance and permitting applications. She also has experience with Civil3D software to assist in CAD design. Ms. Aguirre works with various permitting mechanisms, including New Source Review (NSR) permits, permits-by-rule (PBR), and standard permits. Her experience includes multiple air permitting projects through the ‘standard permit’ and PBR mechanisms; assisting with emissions calculations, preparing site layout maps, completing requisite forms, and regulatory compliance. Additional experience includes Title V operating permits and greenhouse gas reporting projects, as required by U.S. EPA rules. Ray Al Ayass is responsible for the operations and maintenance of a landfill gas collection and control system as well as the liquids management system for a large landfill. He also manages construction activities and upgrades to the gas system and main headers, and is responsible for the flare station maintenance and modifications.
He has two decades of experience in LFG control and recovery, including flare construction, GCCS construction, non-routine repair, and emergency call-out response. He is responsible for the operations and maintenance of a large landfill’s site gas collection and control system as well as the liquid management system. He oversees many phases of project construction, including development, management, and oversight of field construction, and for preparation and installation of extraction wells, monitoring wells, condensate collection, containment facilities, leachate control and disposal facilities, and blower/flare stations.

Don Barfield, LEED AP, has nearly two decades of experience as an environmental and sustainability consultant. He has performed over 2,000 environmental site assessments throughout the United States and internationally, including Brownfield Assessments, Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments, and RCRA Site Assessments and Closure Plans. His experience includes managing numerous due diligence and risk reviews for large acquisitions or mergers within and outside the U.S. He is a LEED Accredited Professional.
Experience includes assessing and developing closure plans for RCRA Regulated Units; removing, assessing, and remediating underground and aboveground storage tanks; brownfield redevelopment; and NEPA and Phase I ESA projects for telecommunications facilities. Sites include fuel storage facilities, vehicle maintenance facilities, truck stops, abandoned chemical disposal sites, and superfund sites. Chemical contamination encountered in both soil and groundwater media has included petroleum, heavy metals, petroleum, pesticides, heavy metals, PCBs, and solvents.
Previous experience includes project manager and point of contact for four Florida Department of Transportation contracts, including identifying potential contamination impacts that may affect property acquisition or construction efforts, which allowed the Client to mitigate remedial and design efforts and preserve the production schedule. She also prepared various design change, right of way, and construction advertisement reevaluations, participated in valuation engineering studies, supervised surveying and sampling of numerous bridges for asbestos-containing materials and metal based paint, and conducted numerous Phase I and II assessments.
