Industrial Environmental Association – IEA Names SCS Engineers 2015 Associate of the Year

SAN DIEGO, CA — SCS Engineers’ Vice Presidents Tom Rappolt and Dan Johnson have collectively been named the 2015 IEA Associate of the Year by the Industrial Environmental Association (IEA). An award will be presented at the 31st Environmental Awards Luncheon on October 29, 2015, at the San Diego Convention Center.

Tom Rappolt, Q.E.P., is Vice President of SCS Engineers – Tracer Environmental Division, a Senior Air Quality Meteorologist, Project Director, and SCS’s National Expert on Odor and Tracer Gas Studies. He has more than 30 years of program management and technical experience in air quality compliance and pollutant dispersion and air measurement programs. He is considered an expert in atmospheric dispersion and transport of airborne pollutants, particularly in the area of complex terrain, including inter- and intra-building processes.

Dan Johnson, P.E., serves as Vice President of Southwest Environmental Services and as a Project Manager for sites in the United States and overseas. He has 30 years of experience providing environmental assessments, remediation services, professional civil engineering and engineering design. He is a nationally recognized expert for handling hazardous materials issues related to real estate transactions and redeveloping contaminated properties. He is routinely invited to share his expertise at conferences and workshops for hazardous waste issues related to real estate transactions and Brownfields.
