SCS Engineers to conduct surveys, abatement oversight and clearance inspections to ensure compliance with state and local regulations
Las Vegas, NV – SCS Engineers was awarded a contract to provide environmental consulting to the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority. The Housing Authority manages multiple properties across diverse communities, as well as some of Nevada’s most vulnerable individuals. Maintaining resident and worker health and safety are top priorities for the Housing Authority, which requires prompt responses to environmental issues, often within 24 hours of notification.
Under the contract, SCS will provide environmental services including: inspections, specifications, abatement oversight, and clearance inspections for mold, asbestos, and lead-based paint; investigations of indoor air quality; as well as inspections for other regulated hazardous materials and waste.
“Our local team has the environmental expertise and short response times necessary to serve these communities,” said Rani Romero, project director for SCS Engineers. “And our familiarity with the area’s challenges, the Housing Authority and its residents gives us a strong understanding of the issues and how we might resolve them.”
