LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) appointed Sharon Bison as the OC Post President following her two years of service as Vice President. She has been an instrumental member of SAME for eight years, chairing the Camp Pendleton Day Sponsor Committee from 2011 to 2014. Camp Pendleton Day is a networking and business event for the architecture, engineering and construction communities.
Sharon chaired the Federal Business Opportunities Symposium, providing a venue for participants to interact with government decision makers and major contractors. The event also recognizes firms for significant veterans outreach programs and for donations to SAME-OC charities, which support the families of wounded warriors.
“Sharon has been integral to the success of our most meaningful events,” said Will Manker, Immediate Past President of the Orange County Post. “As President, she’ll continue to promote engineering support for national security, as well as mentor and motivate a new generation of engineering professionals.”
SAME is a leading professional military engineering association. Its mission is to unite architecture, engineering, construction, facility management and environmental entities, as well as individuals in the public and private sectors to prepare for, and overcome, natural and manmade disasters, as well as improve security at home and abroad.
