Dan Sola is a hydrogeologist and project manager with more than 30 years of experience. He serves as SCS’s Arizona/New Mexico project director and leads the firm’s Phoenix office. Mr. Sola’s areas of expertise include hydrogeological evaluation, groundwater modeling, remediation, contaminant fate and transport, risk assessment, natural attenuation, and environmental review. He has worked on projects throughout North America. He is sought after for expert witness assignments, technical writings, and presentations on a range of issues.
Sola is responsible for all phases of client service, project management, business development, and technical leadership. He oversees a team of project managers, scientists, and technicians. He is able to coordinate talent from throughout the firm to serve each client’s needs.
Prior to moving to the Phoenix area five years ago, he lived in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he was the lead hydrogeologist on the largest Superfund groundwater cleanup in the region. He also consulted for landfills, industrial sites, mines, and due dilligence proejcts throughout North America. His work in Arizona goes back to the mid-1990s when he consulted for environmental investigations and clean-ups in Tucson and Phoenix.
Mr. Sola is a registered geologist in Arizona. He earned a bachelor’s degree in geology from Michigan Technological University.
