The Lancaster LFG-to-Energy facility employs two Caterpillar 3520 engine-generators. The plant has a capacity of 3.2 megawatts. The project began operation in December 2005.
The facility generates power for sale to the local utility. Steam is recovered from the engine exhaust and is piped off-site for use by a local dairy.
The scope of services provided by SCS for this project include:
Process engineering
Installation of the owner-supplied engine/generators
Design and installation of all other mechanical equipment and piping
Design and installation of all electrical work
Design and construction of all civil, structural and site work
Design and installation of a plant-wide SCADA system using SCS’s proprietary Internet-based iSCADA technology
SCS performed this work on a turnkey basis.
