SCS Energy: Dairy Digester Gas to Renewable Natural Gas in Texas

SCS designed and currently operates a 2,900 scfm dairy digester gas to renewable natural gas (DG-to-RNG) plant in Texas. The product gas capacity is 2,349 MMBtu/day. The project achieved commercial operation in 2019. The RNG plant uses the following technologies:

• Booster blowers;
• Liquid scrubber for H2S removal with solid media backup;
• DG refrigeration;
• Activated carbon treatment;
• DG compression with flooded-screw compression;
• Membranes for CO2 removal; and
• Product gas compressor (to 1,000 psig).
