Mechanical Integrity Inspections Training

This in-person training is intended for persons experienced with ammonia refrigeration systems. Qualifying Operators and Technicians to Perform Mechanical Integrity Inspections is based on the IIAR 6 Standard for Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Closed-Circuit Ammonia Refrigeration Systems as continuing education for industrial refrigeration professionals whose job responsibilities include inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM), and the safe operation of an ammonia refrigeration system.

Led by our CIRO-certified trainer, this course is in the Oakdale, MN, training facility; you will learn how to perform mechanical integrity inspections:

  • IIAR 6 Chapter 5 General Requirements
  • IIAR 6 Chapters 6 through 15 Specific Equipment Inspection Tables
  • IIAR 6 Addendum B Checklists

You will need access to the current IIAR 2 Standard for Design of Safe Closed-Circuit Ammonia Refrigeration Systems and the IIAR 6 Standard for Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Closed-Circuit Ammonia Refrigeration Systems. This is the third and final article in a series of our interview with representatives from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Mary Wesling and Robert Lucas, both of whom have extensive experience with Risk Management Plan – RMP implementation and enforcement. The interview continues the  discussion of recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices – RAGAGEPs, Process Safety Management – PSM, and EPA resources for help.
