OROVILLE, CA — SCS Engineers has contracted with the City of Oroville (City) to assist with project implementation, including work plan administration and execution of a Site-Specific Brownfields Assessment Grant from the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
SCS Engineers will address environmental concerns at Las Plumas Lumber Mill in South Oroville. The City is interested in facilitating commercial and retail redevelopment of the 39-acre site, which is a key property in the City’s overall redevelopment plans. SCS will assist by providing project management, planning, and the development of regulatory compliance reports to ensure public safety.
“SCS Engineers has a long history of working in the City of Oroville and preparing Brownfield sites for redevelopment,” said Don Rust, Economic Development Manager with the City of Oroville. “That history, their ability to find solutions, and their experience involving communities throughout the process make them ideal partners for this program.”
