Curtis Jang Joins SCS Engineers as Chief Financial Officer

Long Beach, CA – SCS Engineers (SCS) is pleased to announce the addition of Curtis Jang to the firm as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr. Jang’s career as a finance and accounting executive spans 16 years and encompasses finance, strategic planning, risk management/surety, information technology, and human resources.

Mr. Jang came to SCS from a professional engineering services firm with over two thousand employees which generated over $600 million in revenues.  As a Vice President of the firm, Mr. Jang was responsible for the finance and accounting functions of the West Coast Region, comprised of nine satellite offices, thirteen project offices, six business lines and over four hundred employees generating in excess of $130 million in annual revenues.  In addition, Mr. Jang managed a team of nine accounting and ten project control personnel, as well as indirectly managed all personnel within the region.  Prior to Mr. Jang’s departure he also became the lead finance executive for the firm’s Energy and Power Group with annual revenues in excess of $100 million.

Prior to that, Mr. Jang was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for an environmental engineering and construction firm servicing the Western U.S. and Malaysia.  While there, he was responsible for the integrity of financial information and systems. He was also accountable for strategic planning, development and leadership of the entire finance function as well as day-to-day operations management.

Mr. Jang received a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Economics from California State University, Long Beach.
