Governor Ricketts Appoints Michael J. Miller, CHMM of SCS Engineers to the Governor’s Council to Keep Nebraska Beautiful

OMAHA, NE – Michael J. Miller, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) and a Vice President at SCS Engineers, was recently appointed by Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts to a nearly three-year term on the Governor’s Council to Keep Nebraska Beautiful. Mr. Miller’s term began in March 2015 and continues until December 31, 2017.

Keep Nebraska Beautiful is a non-profit organization with a mission to engage Nebraskans to take greater responsibility for enhancing their local environment. Keep Nebraska Beautiful was started in 1964 by Governor Frank Morrison and continues today as a statewide affiliate of Keep America Beautiful.

Mr. Miller has a wide variety of experience in the environmental management and consulting field in both the private and federal sectors. He is a Vice President and Project Director at SCS Engineers overseeing many environmental compliance projects and hazardous materials management. Mr. Miller is experienced in a wide array of environmental health and safety (EH&S) programs and has successfully developed and implemented EH&S solutions at multi-location industrial facilities in the agricultural processing, chemical processing, metals, distribution/transportation, and pharmaceutical manufacturing sectors.
