SCS ENGINEERS ANNOUNCES THE ADDITION OF LORI K. HAMBURG TO ITS RALEIGH OFFICE

Raleigh, NC – SCS Engineers (SCS) is pleased to announce that Ms. Lori K. Hamburg has joined the firm; she will be based in SCS’ Raleigh, North Carolina, office. Ms. Hamburg will join the Environmental Services practice group with a focus on Phase I and II environmental site assessments. In addition, she will be involved with groundwater and gas monitoring projects as well as Brownfield site redevelopment projects.

Ms. Hamburg is an accomplished environmental scientist and consultant. Her experience includes generating, communicating, and executing Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments of and due diligence investigations for industrial properties, commercial developments, undeveloped properties, and hazardous waste sites. She has developed and prepared cleanup goals for contaminated sites based on Federal and State environmental regulations and analytical results; researched Federal and State regulations and conducted historical property reviews; and overseen geophysical subsurface investigations such as low-level mercury sampling, groundwater and soil sampling, UST removals and assessments, and stack testing. Ms. Hamburg has a broad knowledge of the Clean Air Act, including Title V permitting and compliance.

Ms. Hamburg has a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, Illinois. She is certified in OSHA 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response and is a registered Asbestos Inspector for North Carolina.
