New contract increases budget to $1.5 million
LONG BEACH, Calif.—SCS Engineers was awarded a renewal to its existing environmental engineering services contract with The Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Los Angeles (CRA/LA). SCS’s long-standing relationship with CRA/LA dates back to 1998.
Per the contract, SCS provides services on an as-needed basis for Phase I Environmental Site Assessments; Phase II investigations of soil, soil vapor and groundwater; asbestos and lead-based paint surveys and abatement oversight; peer review of consultant work; remedial activities; underground tank services; and response to and abatement of emergency conditions. SCS has received approximately 60 work order directories for services requested by CRA/LA under the current contract.
“The Community Redevelopment Agency creates economic opportunities and projects to revitalize Los Angeles neighborhoods,” said Mr. Kevin Green, Vice President of SCS Engineers. “We’re honored to be able to continue improving the quality of life for residents in these communities.”
The contract renewal extends the current contract to October 2012, and increases the budget to $1.5 million. Kevin Green will be directing projects, with management and technical support from the staff of engineers, geologists and other scientists based in the Long Beach office.
