SCS Engineers Hires Professional Geologist James Ritchie to Lead Northern California Environmental Consulting Services’ Projects

PLEASANTON, Calif. –SCS Engineers, an award-winning environmental consulting firm, has hired James Ritchie as a Project Director in the Environmental Services Southwest Group, where he will lead the Northern California Environmental Services practice. Ritchie is a registered professional geologist in California and Washington with a career marked by work in the field of environmental consulting and site restoration throughout the western United States.

Ritchie has developed and led multi-disciplinary teams, combining technical expertise and contractual know-how, in collaboration with regulatory agencies, clients, involved stakeholders, and the public to achieve successful outcomes for many challenging property restoration and redevelopment projects.

Ritchie’s technical experience covers a spectrum of environmental projects and policies including property transaction and development support, subsurface investigation, restoration and preservation, as well as mediation and litigation support, emergency response management, regulatory agency negotiation, and site closure.

Ritchie will work out of SCS’s Pleasanton, Calif., office where he will direct the Northern California Environmental Services team.
