SAN CARLOS, Calif. – SCS Engineers is pleased to announce the opening of a new office serving the San Francisco Peninsula south to San Jose, California. SCS continues to provide environmental consulting and engineering services to municipal and private sector clients, and solid waste disposal facilities, recycling and repurposing facilities, landfill gas to energy services, to numerous public or private entities. This particular office enables SCS Engineers to enhance delivery of Environmental Services to our clients in the San Francisco Bay area.
The office is managed by James G. Ritchie, a Project Director leading the SCS Northern California Environmental Services multi-disciplinary teams. SCS teams combine technical expertise and contractual know-how, in collaboration with regulatory agencies, clients, involved stakeholders, and the public to facilitate property restoration and redevelopment projects.
Mr. Ritchie is a registered professional geologist in California and Washington with a career marked by successful work in environmental consulting and site restoration throughout the western United States. His expertise includes property transaction and development support, subsurface investigation, restoration and preservation, as well as mediation and litigation support, emergency response management, regulatory agency negotiation, and site closure.
