SCS Engineers Promotes Carlo Lebron to Business Unit Director

TAMPA, FL – SCS Engineers promotes Carlo Lebron to lead the Southeastern region operations, including all environmental consulting, landfill, landfill gas, and solid waste business. He commences his responsibilities immediately, under the title Business Unit Director, and is managing the staff and business operations of six offices in Florida and Georgia, and including projects in Puerto Rico. His primary office is located in Tampa, Florida.

Lebron, a Professional Engineer, licensed in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Puerto Rico, and North Carolina, has a broad range of environmental expertise. He works with clients in the solid waste industry, with real estate developers, and with manufacturers nationwide. He is recognized by the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) as a leader who works closely with his clients to develop environmental solutions that support their operations while satisfying strict permitting and regulatory requirements. He also serves as Vice Director for SWANA’s Landfill Gas Technical Division.

Lebron is an expert in Title V permitting and other regulatory requirements associated with landfill gas collection systems. These systems can convert landfill gases into renewable energy. Regulations include New Source Performance Standards and State Implementation Plans (NSPS), National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP), and the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES). He uses this expertise, coupled with his experience evaluating, designing, managing, and operating complex environmental systems to develop sustainable master plans for landfill and solid waste operations. His leadership, skills, and regional knowledge are useful and appreciated in both the public and private sectors by those responsible for safeguarding human life and the environment as part of doing business.
