RESTON, VA – SCS Engineers announced that several employees have been promoted for their excellent client services and their designs of innovative and practical environmental technology.
Jay Hatho, Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology Officer at SCS, was named a Senior Vice President. Mr. Hatho’s expertise includes the application of information technology to enable real-time monitoring of emissions from solid waste handling and other facilities and remote adjustments to emission control systems, improving accuracy of measurements and reducing monitoring costs. Jay is SCS’s National Partner for SCS Technology Services and SCS eTools. Jay works out of the SCS Engineers headquarters in Long Beach, CA. Michael Kalish, P.E., LEED, AP, has been promoted to Vice President.
Mr. Kalish manages projects out of SCS’s Reston, VA office, as the National Partner for Solid Waste Transfer Station expertise. Mike, with multiple aptitudes, has served as Project Manager and Director for many major transfer station renovations and expansions in the Mid-Atlantic region. Mike has designed and overseen construction of recycling, waste repurposing, and reuse facilities. These facilities are key to the success of sustainable materials management plans in the solid waste industry.
Joshua Roth, P.E., has been promoted to Vice President. Mr. Roth is a Project Director with the Landfill Gas (LFG) Group in the SCS Reston, VA, office. Josh has served on a number of LFG engineering projects involving LFG remediation system design, emissions inventories and air permitting, migration and odor control, ambient air sampling and reporting, LFG and CER due diligence projects, GHG emission mitigation and reporting, field sampling and assessments, and general emissions control projects.
