Sacramento & Long Beach, CA – SCS Engineers (SCS) is pleased to announce that Pat Sullivan has been promoted to Director of the Southwestern U.S. consulting and engineering operations for SCS, which include both Solid Waste and Environmental Services Practices. The SCS Southwest Operations encompass all SCS engineering and consulting offices in California, Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico as well as client projects in Utah and Colorado. Mr. Sullivan will manage over 15 physical office locations, approximately 120 SCS employees, and $20-25 million in annual revenue. Mr. Sullivan will continue working from SCS’s Sacramento office.
Mr. Sullivan has over 23 years of experience in the areas of environmental engineering services and solid waste. He is the Practice Leader for SCS’s Solid Waste Practice in California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado, and he will continue in that capacity until a replacement is selected to work under his direction. Mr. Sullivan is the National Partner for SCS’s companywide Air Quality and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) programs. He also oversees SCS’s company-wide Risk Assessment program and is a national expert on risk assessment and toxic exposure issues for landfills and other facilities.
Mr. Sullivan will continue as a company Senior Vice President and Principal-in-Charge for projects related to landfill investigation and risk assessment, landfill redevelopment, landfill gas engineering, air quality permitting and compliance, GHG emissions, groundwater investigations at solid waste facilities as well as other solid waste engineering services. Throughout his career, Mr. Sullivan has also worked on a variety of projects related to our Environmental Services Practice, including Phase I site assessments, site investigations, remediation, as well as environmental compliance and permitting for industrial and commercial facilities. Mr. Sullivan has BA in Biology/Ecology from Harvard University.
