Mr. Jernigan is a Senior Project Advisor responsible for providing advice and support across all SCS business lines. He is skilled at consensus building among a variety of interests and across scientific, technical, legal and regulatory disciplines while combining the fiscal discipline of budgets, cost control, and managed returns to produce optimal solutions. His expertise includes Regulatory compliance; Environmental Management Systems; RCRA Solid Waste; RCRA Hazardous Waste; Remedial investigations; Feasibility studies; Managed remediation; Brownfields; Superfund; and Regulatory and multi-party settlements.
Prior to joining SCS, Mr. Jernigan worked for waste management companies in leadership roles and successfully managing a national team servicing 1,200 operating locations to achieve, maintain and improve environmental performance. He has implemented programs, processes, and plans that resulted in year-over-year improvement in environmental performance, across the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Achievements included reduced impacts to the environment (in the disposal division); reduced impacts to communities; and reduced regulatory violations in all lines of the business.
