Mr. Krause is an experienced hydrogeologist with a strong technical background. His experience includes soil and groundwater sampling to characterize a variety of contaminants, including petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated volatile organice compunds, and historic fill-related impacts. He has completed vapor intrusion assessments, including screening assessments and sub-slab vapor and indoor air sampling.
He is experienced in planning and executing remedial activities, including excavation, in-situ chemical oxidation, monitored natural attenuation of groundwater, vapor mitigation, and construction of engineering barriers.
Additional experience includes aquifer characterization by collecting and analyzing hydraulic conductivity data using straddle packers in bedrock boreholes; sampling groundwater for human enteric viruses and emerging contaminants; and developing geologic and hydrologic inputs for groundwater flow models using ArcGIS and MODFLOW.
