Maria Bowen is an air quality compliance professional responsible for performing various activities related to the SCS solid waste and industrial air quality/greenhouse gas (GHG) consulting practice with a focus on permitting and compliance support for solid waste facilities. She handles air testing, sampling, and monitoring; California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) air impact assessments; prepares documents and calculations; and maintains lead communication with clients and air district personnel.
Ms. Bowen manages multiple solid waste projects, covered aerated static piles (CASP) and anaerobic digester facilities, and provides oversight and review of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports. She reviews and provides oversight of the completion to Assembly Bill (AB) 32 reporting; compiles yearly data, and ensures facility compliance with California Air Resources Board (CARB) regulations. She reviews and provides oversight for the completion of electronic Greenhouse Gas Reporting Tool (e-GGRT) reporting, compiles yearly data, and ensures facility compliance with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) requirements.
