SCS Engineers was retained by All Aboard Florida ESA, to provide investigation and remediation services in connection with the development of the flagship terminal for the privately-developed passenger rail linking Miami and Orlando. The initial environmental work consisted of Phase I ESAs of each property to identify potential environmental liabilities. The second phase included site investigations to assess contaminant levels, geophysical surveys, soil vapor surveys, soil sampling, underground storage tank (UST) site characterization and groundwater quality analyses.
Remediation activities included removal of two USTs and the remediation of petroleum-impacted soil to achieve clean closure.
