International – Metro Vancouver Landfill Closure Engineering

Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, awarded SCS Engineers consecutive 5-year engineering support contracts, including task-related services, for the closure of the Cache Creek Solid Waste Landfill.

Engineering services varied over time, and included:

• Third party technical review of the landfill closure plan
• Evaluation of closure period plan and review of previous annual reports
• Preparation of capital cost estimates, including potential closure costs and post-closure costs under several closure scenarios, to assist Metro Vancouver with long-term budgeting for the site
