SCS offers a blend of proven state-of-the-art engineering technology and licensed construction contracting specific to the management of LFG. These services are adopted to meet the needs of landfill owners, operators, and/or developers. The fact that SCS’ Field Services Division is often retained to construct facilities designed by other engineering firms is another testimony to SCS’ expertise in the LFG field.
Representative projects are as follows:
-
Design and Installation of an LFG System at the Columbia Ridge Landfill, Arlington, Oregon. The project included installation of 1,155 vertical feet of LFG extraction wells, 5,450 liner feet of horizontal trench collectors, 9,700 liner feet of 4- through 18-inch header and lateral piping, 4,775 liner feet of leachate injection piping, and a new blower.
-
Two LFG Collection and Flare Systems for odor and migration control, Monmouth County Reclamation Center, Tinton Falls, New Jersey.
-
LFG Migration Control System Construction, Warren County Landfill, Oxford, New Jersey, for Warren County, New Jersey. The project included design and construction of a blower/flare system on an expedited schedule. The blower/flare system included a blower skid with three blowers, a ground flare, a backup utility flare, concrete foundations, and electrical work.
-
Two Pine Landfill, Little Rock, Arkansas, LFG Migration and Emission Control System Construction. SCS performed the engineering and construction work for several phases to continually expand the exiting LFG collections system as this landfill expanded. We are currently designing the next phase of this expansion to be constructed in 2005. Work in the next phase includes LFG extraction wells, header and lateral HDPE piping, and condensate sumps.
-
LFG Extraction System on landfill perimeter, Manchester, New Hampshire.
-
Subfloor Air Injection System, Bixby Ranch Company, Market Place, Long Beach, California.
