Designer

We are seeking a full-time CAD Designer to continue our growth in environmental and civil engineering. You will help us pursue our growth goals and give our customers high quality, professional designs and drawing packages. This position will eventually report into our Boise, Idaho office.

How you can make an impact

• Gather and assemble technical data from various sources to develop engineering plans for design and construction.
• Develop engineering plan sets, including site layouts, mass grading plans, construction details, plans and profiles, cross sections, and earthwork volume and other takeoff calculations using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Develop survey point lists, alignments, and earthwork surfaces for field construction purposes.
• Develop as-built documentation drawings.
• Check drawings for completeness and accuracy.
• Develop 2D and 3D renderings, when required.
• Work with engineers or scientists in project work.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of CAD standards.
• Coordinate work with other drafters or CAD designers within the region.
• Assist with the integration of CAD with other technology solutions (e.g., GIS, drones, AI, etc.).

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of prior work experience drafting for civil engineering.
• Experience in the solid waste industry preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software required.
• Experience in preparing engineering plan sets, including site layouts, mass grading plans, construction details, plans and profiles, cross sections, and earthwork volume and other takeoff calculations.
• Experience in generating both 2D and 3D renderings (e.g., Revit, Maya) is not required but preferred.

Pay Range

USD $110,000.00 – USD $120,000.00 /Yr.
