Entry-Level Engineer or Scientist - Risk Management

Join our 100% employee-owned firm and start creating your own legacy.  We are looking for an Entry-Level Engineer or Scientist  for our Tracer Business Unit. SCSs Tracer Environmental Division has expertise in all aspects of environmental management, safety and risk analysis, and compliance. SCS Tracers Risk Management team focuses on compliance related to risk and process safety-based EPA and OSHA regulations. SCS also provides expertise with state-specific programs such as the California Accidental Release Prevention (CalARP) Program and Nevadas Chemical Accident Prevention Program (CAPP). The individual will conduct assignments in the field and office settings.

How you can make an impact 

• Write and prepare reports such as proposals, Process Safety Management, EPA Risk Management Programs, CA HMBPs.
• Complete site inspections as needed for reporting.
• Multi-media sampling (soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, air) and reporting.
• Compliance monitoring, permitting, document preparation, and proposals.
• Assist with technical documents to ensure completeness and conformance to requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering or science required. Relevant majors such as environmental science, chemistry, environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or mechanical engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 3 months of related environmental work, school or research experience required such as the following:
  • Experience with PSM/RMP and CalARP Programs
  • Experience with preparation of common environmental technical reports such as Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessment Reports, Water Board compliance reports, etc.
• Valid drivers license with a driving record in good standing required.
