SCS Engineers is seeking a successful environmental project manager in our Mobile, Alabama office to help grow our environmental consulting practice in the southeast U.S. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner and self-motivated, eager to learn, teamwork oriented, embraces challenges, and has the desire to grow and develop professionally.  The successful candidate will be involved with field activities, preparing reports for clients, and interacting directly with clients to develop solutions that will make a positive impact on both our clients and the environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and/or completing environmental projects related to compliance, sustainability, solid waste, hazardous waste, and property due diligence throughout Alabama and Florida. The candidate will have opportunity to work with some of the most dedicated and experienced professionals in the industry.

How you can make an impact as an Environmental Project Manager

  • Offer practical, value-added solutions to our clients environmental challenges
  • Project research (historical, analytical, etc.)
  • Promote a sustainable environment through innovation and the creative application of technology and management strategies.
  • Writing and Reviewing Technical reports
  • Responsible for quality delivery of projects
  • Mentor and train new staff
  • Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones to ensure project progress status is on schedule
  • Identify and resolve issues with projects (i.e., delays, access restrictions, site conditions, etc.)
  • Complete and finalize specific project tasks according to deadlines and within budget


  • Bachelor’s Degree with a degree in biological/environmental sciences, geology, or engineering required
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in environmental consulting required
  • Projects involve a degree of travel and candidates must have a valid drivers license
  • Familiarity with applicable regulatory agencies and applicable codes
