The Environmental Services Operations Coordinator supports the Southeast Business Unit Environmental Services (ES) Director to guide and oversee day-to-day operations of the ES Practice, including, but not limited to coordinating with staff on resource needs and allocation, providing financial and technical input on proposals, monitoring the financial health of the business unit related overall operations (e.g., revenue, profit, accounts receivable, etc.) and confirming the utilization of quality control tools for project deliverables.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains an intimate understanding of client needs to develop and deploy ES Practice resources to meet client needs (e.g., staff, assets, equipment, etc.).
  • Identify hiring needs and participate in interviews.
  • Oversees daily staff and equipment scheduling.
  • Track monthly staff utilization results and analyzes trends to optimize workload.
  • Responsible for tracking budgets.
  • Monitors and schedules project quality control reviews.
  • Identifies opportunities, develops, and implements processes to increase work flow efficiency (e.g., automated processes).
  • Coordinates with ES Director on a frequent (daily) basis to identify needs and prioritize duties.
  • Provide administrative support as requested by ES Director.
  • Leads resource meetings (e.g., develops, implements, and follows up on actions items).
  • Manage staff training program (e.g., identify training needs, schedule training events, and audit staff).
  • Conduct site visits to understand projects and check on staff.
  • Ensure strategic planning of projects in terms of staffing.
  • Coordinates with sub-consultants and vendors, when necessary.
  • Optimizes scheduling and coordination throughout the business unit.
  • Resolves internal and external conflicts.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to identify areas of weakness or inefficiencies and develop procedures to optimize workflow.
  • Inspire and lead project delivery and process improvement teams.
  • Understand budgeting constraints and identify areas of cost savings.
  • Set goals and develop plans to meet goals.
  • Coordinate with other ES leads (e.g., technical services, field services), as necessary.
  • Capability to travel within the tri-county area and between Boca Raton and Miami offices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Science preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of environmental consulting experience and/or experience as a District or Regional Manager required.
  • Experience in logistics and coordination is required.
  • Valid drivers license with a driving record in good standing required.
